The Pérez Cuevas family has been connected with their vineyards history for more than eighty years in Bodegas Ontañón. In the early years, they made their wines in their hermitage-type winery located in the Barrio de Bodegas de Quel, following a tradition of more than three hundred years.
As time passed, they felt the need to share their Culto al Vino with the rest of the world. They founded Ontañón – Temple of Wine in Logroño, a unique winery where their wines mature under the watchful eye of gods and mythological heroes in the form of huge sculptures, stained glass windows and paintings.
Wine has been culture since ancient times and has accompanied men during the different stages of History. The Ontañón experiences are a tribute to all that it means.
Ontañón and its particular Temple of Wine is one of the most special wineries of the Rioja appellation and it is located only five minutes from the center of Logroño.
Bodegas Ontañón offers different experiences so that you can learn while enjoying the wines and ancient tales of gods and heroes. Some of them are more intimate and exclusive, such as Encounters with the God of Wine.
In addition, the wines are accompanied by tasty tapas from the area and oil from their own olive trees.
Each of the experiences they propose is designed to be enjoyed individually, as a couple or with family groups.
