ESDIR, Higher School of Art and Design La Rioja is an official design teaching center with 130 years of experience.
This institution was created in 1886. ESDIR connects with the best tradition of artistic teachings born in England in the mid-nineteenth century with the aim of improving the design of everyday objects.
The beautiful building that houses it, with a cloister plant typology, was designed in 1914 by Antonio Rubio and Luis Mosteiro, following the eclectic style that prevailed in Madrid in those years.
The treatment and variety of its materials and spaces make it an unbeatable example of the integration of decorative arts and architecture.
For decades this School of Arts trained artisans and professionals in different artistic trades. Currently they offer higher studies in the specialties of Interior Design, Graphic, Product and Fashion.
