Travelers en route to Santiago de Compostela find behind the walls of the Municipal Pilgrim’s Hostel in Logroño much more than a place to shelter and regain strength. The hospitality of the locals is excellently reflected in this hostel – municipal property and managed by the Riojan Association of Friends of the Way – which in successive surveys is chosen by pilgrims as the best on the Route after Santiago de Compostela.
Since 1993, the hostel occupies an 18th century mansion located on the Jacobean route, close to the churches of Santiago and Palacio. It has 500 square meters for bedrooms, living rooms, kitchen, multipurpose room, in addition to a 125 square meter patio where pilgrims rest and talk after walking during a hard day.
The courtyard of the hostel is also the scene during the summer of various performances related to the Camino de Santiago.
