Spaces and places
MICE tourism finds in Logroño an ideal city for its development, with good facilities for the organisation of conferences and endless options to strengthen business links and improve coexistence: from team wine tastings in centenary wineries to excursions through vineyards, cultural visits and unique experiences that you cannot have anywhere else.
A group of professionals at your service
Logroño is an ideal destination for MICE thanks, in part, to the work of the PCOs and incoming agencies that work to promote the conference tourism sector in Logroño with the intention of continuing to grow and improve in every detail, offering a highly qualified service.
An administration committed to MICE
Since 2018, Logroño has been working to improve its meeting tourism offer. It does so through a plan that, by 2022, aims to attract more than 117 events. This commitment on the part of Logroño City Hall stems from the potential that conference tourism has in terms of generating employment and wealth for the region, as well as being a good way of promoting the deseasonalisation of tourism and making this sector a sustainable industry
UNDERGROUND CELLARS
"Calados" are the old underground cellars which, together with wine presses and other wine-making infrastructures, have formed a network in the subsoil of the old town of Logroño since the 16th century. Built with a north-south orientation, the cellars maintain an optimum temperature for the preservation of the wine.
Riojaforum — Congress Center and Auditorium of La Rioja is a modern building equipped to the smallest detail and at the same time simple and welcoming.
The Casa de la Danza is located in the Old Quarter of Logroño, on Calle Ruavieja, with access from Calle de San Gregorio.
The calados are the old underground cellars that, together with wine presses and other wine infrastructures, were common in old town Logroño since the 16th century.
Walk of the 100 stores
The Paseo de las Cien Tiendas is an emblematic shopping area in the city of Logroño. It is a pedestrian area adjacent to the Espolón de Logroño.
A large urban shopping area in which to shop, socialise with the locals in their daily lives and enjoy the promenade, its shops, restaurants and local cuisine.
All these shops together are the ones that make up the 100, forming a double meaning: many small shops of different kinds together are the ones that make up the Paseo de las Cien Tiendas (Walk of 100 Shops).
Our Gastronomy
The culinary Rioja has to do with geography, landscape and climate. La Rioja and Logroño have numerous restaurants where you can enjoy traditional or contemporary cuisine. Some wineries accept groups in their private rooms to enjoy typical winery meals, such as Riojan Potatoes or Cutlets with vine shoots.
Logroño cannot be understood without its cuisine, which is, in turn, one of the most important reasons for holding a conference there. There are many restaurants offering lunch and dinner for groups of all sizes, either in the city centre or nearby, and for leisure time, what better option than tapas in the streets of Laurel, San Agustín or San Juan.
Logroño is cuisine, traditional but also sophisticated. With Michelin stars or with a local spirit, with a cosmopolitan approach or focused on extolling tradition, the restaurants in Logroño offer flavours rooted in high-quality produce and wine culture.
A place of tapas par excellence, Calle Laurel (Laurel Street) is an essential visit for those who want to enjoy the gastronomic essence of the region. Tapas, pinchos and ‘raciones’ accompanied with good riojas make La Laurel stand out as an unforgettable experience.
The Plaza de San Agustín (San Agustin Square) is one of the most important historical places in the Casco Antiguo (Old Town) of Logroño.
The Old Town of Logroño treasures the history of the birth and the memory of the development of the city.
Also known as Plaza de Abastos (Abastos Square), the San Blas Market was for a long time the nerve center of local commerce.
